I've had this gun since 1972. In all that time I've only used wadcutters. Cheap practice, and I was advised by Lou Ciamillo when he was at Maryland gun works in Hyattstown Maryland to do so. He said snubby barrels were iffy with hollow points.

Does anyone shoot snake shout out of their snub noes?? How does its pattern hold and what does it do to the rifling??
 
Full wadcutters, the cast Buffalo Bore version if you want more velocity and penetration.
 
Speer loads are effective to 6 to 8 feet, it doesn't harm the rifling at all. I load Speer shot capsules with #11 shot, dense patterns at 5 feet or so.

Handloader ran an article quite a few years ago about the various offerings. Very thorough.
