Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for an unused 3B2? I haven't seen one for sale in the exchange since I've been on the Busse bandwagon, and I'm wondering if they are really that scarce or not.

Thanks,

Les.

Nobody but the folks at Busse can intelligently speak to the rarity of the blade. You may get a lot of guesses, but that is all you will get as the Busse folks do not release sales or production numbers to the public.

As far as it's worth, you are the only one who can answer that question. No, really...nobody else can do it for you.

find out how much it was originally, and when was it offered, and use that as a basis. surely some of the guys around here can answer those questions... I would, but I just don't know the answers.

With Blade around the corner, maybe $375.

Any other time of the year, $400-$450.

Thank you dude, that was exactly the type of "ballpark" answer I was looking for.

yeah, while true in a sense - those "whatever it's worth to you" answers are about as helpful as someone answering "where ever you left them" when you're remarking 'I wonder where my keys are?'. ;)

Thanks to everyone who bothered to respond. I understand there should be a grain of salt taken in regard to any value given. But a "ballpark" figure from anyone is better than no info at all.

If I see one offered and someone grabs it before it gets to my price range, I will know I've waited too long and it will be a lesson learned for the next time.

Best Regards,

Les.

This is a great knife, I think it is my favorite! I liked it so well, I bought one for my oldest son too!

Shoot, I'd get one for $375! I bet now that we're further removed from the original ganzaa sale, and the immediate resale that follows a ganzaa, they'er gonna be more expensive this next time around. I would expect to pay over $400 but less that $500 if I was getting a "deal" but well over $500 will probably be the asking price. I would have gotten one in the ganzaa but I didn't like the smooth G-10, had the scales been machined I would have been all over one.

The problem I see is in finding an unused 3B2. They are extremely useful and due to the generous blade length yet lightweight, compact package they are almost impossible to keep in a safe (for me anyway).

I paid $425 or there abouts....mine is now used and modified....it is a great knife on light weight, balance, feel and comfort so there may not be many unused....it is my high speed low drag belt kit knife when "hill running" makes the FSH a bit of a "heavy bouncer"....it can still do a bit of chopping too....if need be. Gave mine a swedge for using a fire steel on and other hard use tasks where you don't want to blunt your main cutting edge....

It works really well now and the coating is very tough...

Wow.....there was a lot of mark up on mine then.....

I know, I didn't want to say anything. I will say this (and I hope it makes you feel better), it was underpriced in the Ganzaa. A year ago (before I was knife savvy) I paid $150.00 for a Becker BK-7 at the Bay.:foot::o

Ganza's are a killer for us over here....your 9.00pm is our 3.00 am....so I noticed the knife in the Ganza photo's but never got round to seeing the price list....saw one on the exchange and thought it's cammo pattern ideal for me....did'nt think to go back and check...well...you snooze and you loose...I ought to have tried staying up for the Ganza!
