3d Spalting and bullsey lanyard, hows it made?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere years ago that the bullseye tubes are made by glueing three tubes together. Two stainless steel tubes, and then a black or natural tube in-between. No idea where I read it though lol

This is correct based on my disassembly of one. I remember reading it somewhere as well but am not sure where.

I planned on opening another thread but think one of my questions fits here: has the FF crew ever made knives where the bullseye is not black or natural? Then likely the pinstrupes had another color too...i think i saw some different color pins once (red i believe) but have never seen a knive with a different lanyard hole color... thanks for answering.

That's a good one.

I think they use sriracha.

I once heard that if you stare into the bullseye for too long you will see things about yourself that can't un-see.

LOL. Both hilarious!

The truth about the bullseye tubes is just this simple. Its three nested tubes we glue together. It is trademarked and shouldn't be on any other brands knives.

Spalted Steel is a technology that I invented, and we don't share that one. In fact, it is the only part of our process that we don't share. Everything else, I learned here for free, and freely pass on and teach to the apprentices daily.

Thanks Andy

If I recall correctly, there was some glow in the dark bull's eyes in the distant past

There was a couple. Very few though. It was too big a PITA to pull off.

Hi Andy, what about different color bullseyes? Would that be a material issue of some sort or would that be just not in line with your pov on design and appearance of your great work?
Thanks
