Any one have any experience with the 3M Powerflow PAPR unit?
After having a small metal bit get behind my faceshield and lodge in my eye I've decided I can't not afford to make a change.
Looked at the air shield pro but am not sure about its filtering ability.
I've found a good deal on the 3M unit but haven't found any real reviews of it. Any experience or thoughts appreciated.

I use a North 5400 series full-face respirator, cheaper than the PAPR systems I believe, works very well too unless you have a beard. I have some stubble and it still works fine, but a proper beard will definitely compromise the seal...

Yeah I have a beard. I look like a fat kid without it. In my real world profession looking a little older actually helps out so not looking to shave it off if there is a way around it.

I went modular - I have a 3M M-107 headpiece and a breathcool air pump. There are some recent threads on the topic if you search.

Well I went ahead and got the Powerflow. It seems to be the cheapest PAPR package that I've been able to find. I'd have preferred a helmet variety so I could still wear glasses but this should suffice.
I haven't been able to find any reviews of this particular unit on this site or any others. When I get it and use it a little I'll post some thoughts up.
If any one is looking for one like this there is a great deal going ($360 range) on a popular site. PM me and I'll give you the details. Not affiliated in any way just found it and bought it myself.
