I have used this to put on a few sets of scales, and was curious if anyone else has used it. 3M says it has high peel and shear strength and its flexible. I am going to continue to use this unless some one else can tell me if its no good. I'm also curious as to what you guys use for your epoxy?

It could be a great product but I would never count on just a glue to hold handle scales on a knife. I would use pins. Corby's or screws as well. Frank

Yeah it sands, but I'm not sure if its as good as what most people use. I dip my knives in black oxide after the scales are set , sanded and finished, and it seems un harmed. As I sand away, it doesn't seem to gunk up or anything, it leaves a good finish. I know first hand that this stuff is rediculosly strong, I just never thought to use it on scales untill I made some.

Certainly does sound like something many may like to try, and was well worth you mentioning it. Frank
