When I ran out of my 3M silicon carbide wet or dry 60 grit sheets I purchased an inexpensive brand and was very disappointed. I have been looking for a supplier of 3M sheets in 60 and 120 grit without much success. The source I did find seemed very expensive. Does anyone have a 3M source that they would recommend? Also how does the silicon carbide sheets from Klingspor and Norton compare to 3M?

Thanks

I love norton products, pretty much all of them, they are top notch and long lasting. Klingspor I have only used their belts and they are also top notch. Norton and 3m seem very similar in pricing and overall performance...

For 3m sheets... best I found overall was here:

Or:

A couple others had cheaper for different grit, but overall they were best I found.

(I am in no way affiliated with Norton, however if any reader works for Norton I will accept compensation in product for that resounding endorsement.) :D

Hey, you never know...

Thanks for the input and source suggestions. I'm going to give Norton and klingspor sheets a try.

+1. Rhynowet is the best, longest lasting paper I've used. I won't buy anything else. I can't believe they got AO to last as long as they did... ESP on metal! :)

I don't think it's really AO. I believe it must be crushed up Alien bones. They just crush 'em up to the desired grit size. It's the only sensible reason it last so long and gives such a beautiful finish. Can't be no other reason!

I KNEW IT!!!!!!! Maybe Rhynowet was the name of the alien they de-boned! That would also explain the red color! Everyone knows alien bones are red!! Lol

I'm going to give Rhyonet a shot. Does it work well with heat treated SS ?
