This is my 3rd finished knife, I did this one for an order. The buyer is real happy with it!!!
3/16 - 1095 Heat Treated by Peters Heat Treat
OAL - 8 15/16''
Blade - 3 1/2''
Handle - 4 1/4''
Hand rubbed to 600 grit
Scales are Stabilized Amboyna Burl

That's pretty nice bro. Are you rounding the edges where the index finger rests?

Just one thing and I know I am going to make a lot of makers mad by saying this and I know alot of makers are doing it but, why the heck the notch at the end of the blade edge where it meets the ricasso? :(

It just makes me uneasy when I see a notch like that! I know some will say, you can't sharpen all the way to the ricasso anyway, but if you start your stoke from the ricasso it is possible to get as close as possible.
It just looks like as a maker you are covering up something by notching a knife that way.
:jerkit: Maybe it's just a pet peeve with me but I am beginning to see more and more of them and I just don't see a real purpose too it!

About the Choil, I personally like the look of them and also it is easier to sharpen, Yes you can sharpen with out but it is easier with.
 
Nice work Ernie. A guy at work once told me that if you can learn the skills required to make a knife you will have no problem with using them to be gainfully employed.
 
wow very nice, your 3rd knife? impressive. so how are you already selling knives after just making 2 others? you working in someone else's shop or did yo just decide to go into business?

I just decided to go into business, I have had help from people on another site by ordering knives from me.
