I just wanted to post a picture of my 3rd knife. I do have some questions, I'll post later. Let me know what you think.

Very nice! I like the booster/guard combo and the file work on the booster looks very clean, good job!

No way this is you third one!
It is just too good to be true. Hehe.

Very nice I like it alot!
But as 1-10 said, the quard could use some shaping. Keep them going!

I'm having some issues with heat treat. I'm useing 2 torches and a magnet to achieve the 1414 temp, then I heat a little longer to hopefully achieve the 1500 temp mark. I then quench In canola oil. The problem I'm having is the blade seems to bend to one side after the quench. I know useing a torch is not the greatest method, but how can I avoid the pull to one side?

I would also like to know how can I "test" my knives? How do you know if a knife is good enough to sell, regarding fit and finish?

Outstanding third knife!!! :)

Warp isn't just caused by heating issues (but it sounds like that could be your culprit). Having a blade ground evenly, and having proper thermal cycles done to the steel going into your hardening phase is very important as well. And going into your quench cockeyed will warp a blade every time. (not saying you did or didn't do any of those things, just offering something to think about).

If you want some constructive criticism, IMHO- the knife would look even nicer than it does, if you were to make the lug on the guard more of a tear-drop. And thin it out too (or use thinner stock to start with).

That's pointing out something that is subjective though, as it's my aesthetic preference. Your work looks great... I can only imagine what you'll be making by #100.

You obviously have grinding skills. Go ahead and challenge yourself a little on the guard.

I like it as well. Love the wood you've used. (Macasar ebony?)
Personaly I would have liked the point a little bit lower (dropped)
