4 1/2" machined Field Knife

This is a new pattern designed as a collaboration with Lorien Arnold. My goal with this was to make a high quality, affordable, working tool. So they're all just milled and tumbled, no fancy finishing. We're finishing up a sprint run of 20.

4 5/8" blade, 3/16" Latrobe A2, HRC 61-62, 8 oz (in micarta, a bit more in G10). The tang is skeletonized. 9 3/4" total length.

The blade was milled to .015" before sharpening and I'm leaning toward sharpening these at 15 DPS, so it's geared towards cutting, not prying. There is a pry in the tang.

Heat treat was optimized for edge stability.

We're working on them now and will probably have some finished tomorrow, but I haven't done a very good job getting sheaths made concurrently. I don't want to sell them without sheaths so that's going to be the bottleneck. It looks like I'll do a big sale with the whole lot next Friday, the 13th. Lucky day...

the handle is a little bit longer than typical, due to the scraper, but it's the blade's a little shorter than typical that amplifies the ratio. All adds up to efficient and powerful cutting when you need it, with no sacrifice is finesse
