This is a new pattern designed as a collaboration with Lorien Arnold. My goal with this was to make a high quality, affordable, working tool. So they're all just milled and tumbled, no fancy finishing. We're finishing up a sprint run of 20.

4 5/8" blade, 3/16" Latrobe A2, HRC 61-62, 8 oz (in micarta, a bit more in G10). The tang is skeletonized. 9 3/4" total length.

The blade was milled to .015" before sharpening and I'm leaning toward sharpening these at 15 DPS, so it's geared towards cutting, not prying. There is a pry in the tang.

Heat treat was optimized for edge stability.

I'm very pleased by how this turned out:thumbup:

Looks like a winner. When will they be available and Kydex sheath? John

We're working on them now and will probably have some finished tomorrow, but I haven't done a very good job getting sheaths made concurrently. I don't want to sell them without sheaths so that's going to be the bottleneck. It looks like I'll do a big sale with the whole lot next Friday, the 13th. Lucky day...

That's a great looking knife. I love the chamfers on the spine and guard. What setup did you use to mill the blade bevels?

Nathan and Lorien,
It looks like Your Field Knife was very well designed and equally well made.
The texture on the handle is a good idea.
GREAT BLADE.

REally nice work...even before I got to the end and saw how thin you took it I was excited when I saw the edge was nice and thin!

liking the looks of this a lot -- especially the longer than typical handle!

the handle is a little bit longer than typical, due to the scraper, but it's the blade's a little shorter than typical that amplifies the ratio. All adds up to efficient and powerful cutting when you need it, with no sacrifice is finesse :)

Just got mine today! It's every bit as awesome as was promised. Happy camper, today! Thanks Nate & Lorien!

These are sweet, can't wait! Just wish there wasn't that "LA" on the back side.. :D
