Greeting all,
As per usual, I'll let the photos do most of the talking (taken today 4.9.12).
Reaching deep into the stash on this one...old school Boye basic three, 440C High Carbon stainless. Specs: 7.35" LOA, 4" Blade, .265" thick, 5 oz. Original brass lined sheath included. These knives use Boye Dendritic Steel--short version per the brochure, stainless steel is cast molten into the shape of the blade...as it cools, a branching network of carbide crystals forms, fully bonded throughout the steel. If you want/need more info, you can check out Boye's webcite, boyeknives.com
Overall condition: unused with some faint lines from handling, in-out of sheath, etc. Also has original brochure and IIRC the original plastic baggie it came in. During photographing today I did discover a little bit of green discoloration to the rear of the brass and the nylon adjacent to it...I'll be cleaning that up. These older versions also do not have the handle wrap or the independend/separate fuller (a little cleaner design IMHO).
His current cobalt version is sale priced at $306 on his webcite (regularly $360)
Make this old school beauty $235 $220 shipped/insured w/ tracking number.
As per usual, I offer a 24 hr. non-use/no-modification/alteration inspection period.
I will consider quality trades. I'd be interested in hearing about a Busse BATAC or Team Gemini. Higher quality folders (Hinderer, Umnumzaan, Lionsteel, Emerson), decent fixed blades NWA, AA Forge, etc etc etc. A Knife Research Legion is also very high on the list. A Strider GG or MT or MTL with gunner grips is also of interest. A DPX HEST Folder is also of interest. Some $$ might have to change hands based on what ya got.
Feel free to make reasonable offers...the worst I can do is say no thanks, but I'm !not! really looking for multiple lower value knives or generics (Spyderco, Benchmades, etc).
Any trade offer must be in excellent++/LNIB condition.
Requirement: Any traded knife mailed to me must be PROPERLY packaged. That means a proper-sized BOX, bubble wrap, and packing materials. I'm getting tired of receiving high dollar knives with what appears to be a grand total of about 15 seconds of packing effort
If you don't have anything I'm looking for in trade and/or are interested in purchasing and/or have a counter-offer, please do NOT ask me what I'll take for it--email/pm me an offer. Do your research...Low-ballers will be ignored. :thumbdn:
Please do not waste my time. If you say 'Deal,' I expect you to honor your commitment. Have your financials in order before making offers!!!!.
The usuals: USA only, must be 21 years old, USPS Money Order only. I reserve the right to withdraw at any time, reject any/all offers, with or without selling/trading, trade/sell to who I want with or without explanation, etc etc etc.
May be listed elsewhere as well.
Email or PM with any questions.
Thanks for looking.
