John Lloyd Custom slipjoint

This trapper has a slim spear point / drop point blade profile. It measures 4.25" closed. The blade measures 3.25" closed with 3" of cutting edge. 52100 carbon blade & spring. SS liners are mill relieved. Bolster , ss , is radiused & beveled. Pinned & inlaid ss "Bullocks shield. India Sambar stag ,nice dark color,perfectly matched texture & color. Action on this one is silky smooth,with perfect 5 pull. Blade centers closed,spring is flush in all half stop positions. Hollow grind on the blade,crescent pull and a drawn swedge. Very well made. Knife will ship in a leather padded zipper storage case.

This is the last Lloyd Folder I have to list , before the Blade Show in Atlanta. John Lloyd's table at that show is 15 E .

A magnificent 2 blade sowbelly trapper,by John,with cam tangs (no half stops) and pinned & inlaid ss "Sowbelly shield" . It measures 3-3/4" closed. Both blades are 2-7/8" with 2-5/8" of cutting edge on the skinner blade & 2.5" of cutting edge of the clip blade. Both blades nest closed with a real low "run up" , almost complete "sunk joint" . Both blades have a solid 5+ to 6 pull. Hollow grinds are perfect . Crescent nail nicks,well executed placement. Nice swedges. A thin knife just inside of 1/2" thick all around.Liners are ss & mill relieved . SS bolster & pins. Blades & springs are 52100 carbon. Creamy well matched mammoth. Blades center,springs are flush. I can't say enough about this knife except if no one takes it,I will. A steal at the asking price.
