And yet another Christmas gift...this time my daughter ask me to make for one of her X's (yea you heard me right :confused::)) This one is made out of A-2 and is etched with ferric chloride, has some rich colored honey bone, and I topped it off with something different a Challenge Cut. Co. shield. The knife is half stopped and flush jointed with the spring and tang flush with the bolsters in the closed position. This particular blade was ground about a year ago on a 10" wheel so the tang flat is bigger and I cut a straight pull. Now I grind these blades on a 14" wheel and a crescent pull is used.

Geez ! your Daughters' ex is one lucky guy , in the respect he's getting a killer knife for Christmas. :D

Very , very nice looking.

Neat Backpocket, Kerry! The etch gives it the look of an antique. I bet that shield was fun to inlay.

Striper28, I heard the same thing from my Grandmother, she gave me an old pocketknife once years and eons ago for Christmas, but she wanted a penny for it. She said that if you sell it to someone, then it's all good, but to just give it to them was to cut things off with them.

Good job Kerry, keep up the good work. I look'n forward to getting one of these from you.:thumbup:

Can I date your daughter and then she can dump me? ;)

Love the etch, shield and jigging. Good work Kerry!

Super folder there Kerry. But I can't help but wonder, if you daughter is giving such a nice knife to her ex, what's she giving to her current???

Thanks for all the nice comments guys and gal. :) The shield was a BEAR to inlay with tiny chisels but jigged bone is very forgiving. The Ex is actually a good guy and the dad of my #1 granddaughter so it will be well cared for.

Very, very, very .......... very nice work Kerry :) Did I mention how very nice that knife is  Man is that a nice knife :D ;)
