Awful nice offerings today for those who don't already have these. That 16" WWII is a nice work horse with beauty too, always a plus.

I foresee a shark frenzy here very soon.

All great camp knives.

Can anyone estimate the blade thickness on the WWII Knife by Anil? After months looking watching and reading this forum, I'm looking to buy my first khukuri - to be used in a farm setting, primarily for chopping. Thank you.

Your best bet is to email Yangdu and ask if she can measure it. If you have a particular thickness requirement, you could tell her "I'll take it if the thickness is at least xyz," thus beat out the sharks.

My guess, based on the length and weight is 3/8". It might be a bit more, since the WWII models tend to have thick spines in relation to their weight.

At 1.5 oz per inch, i would guestimatea hair shy of 1/4"

If I didnt have a 20" Siru .. I like the little abnormalities like that. This would be my pick, or the WWII. What a worker!

I'd go with David, I never seen a WWII less than 3/8" thick. Not sure what you intend to chop but I'd bet it's up to the task without question. 16" is a pretty handy all around length for most jobs too.

Mine is 16" and is running at a tad over 3/8" (thickest part of spine), and 27oz. I use this as my all around camp chopper, and it has never failed to perform, and it has never been sharpened either.
