Fairly rare 18 inch 2 pound WWII by Kumar. Excellent workmanship. Reno humidity -- or lack of it -- has caused slabs to pull away from tang slightly. Hooflex might fix it. Black epoxy fill will for sure. $85 delviered.

Call or email and watch for 4th of July specials.

Those finger grooves look comfortable - any comments on comfort for this handle design ???

Thinking of doin some modifications !

"Chainpuri gone."

Shhhh! Listen.......that's the sound of hearts breaking.:(

Sarge

Beautiful batch of knives Uncle:)

lonegunman, I think(too lazy to look) that this is first set of blems since you posted in Cantina. If you got even one of them on your first try here you're doing better than most of us ever did. I don't think i got any till at least my fourth time through.

I happened to be home, playing hooky from work.(sick child, not serious.) UB posted his blems for the day. Lo and behold, 16.5 Chiruwa. Just what I wanted. Yep, I pounced. It's home where it should be now. The one I wanted

and the price was right. Gotta love it.

First, it would be best if you have two phone lines: one for the computer, and one for phone calls.

Next, open two windows on the puter, one for email, one for the Mid-day Cantina.

Then address an email to Bill Martino saying you want:_______________ and how you will pay. Do not send it yet.

When the blems or UBBs appear, copy and paste the one you want to the email immediately. Don't screw with the images, just send the complete description of the khuk. SEND IT. (If what you want is the second item you see appear, don't wait for all of them to come up.)

Then, pick up the phone, or disconnect your puter and CALL Bill on your phone, giving precisely the same information: your name, what exactly you want, when it was posted, and how you will pay. If you get voice mail...give the voice mail the message.

Then, get down on your knees and pray to whatever deity you honor that you beat some of the ninjas here who MUST use mental telegraphy to transmit the info.

Good luck. Welcome to the Cantina. Enjoy the ride.

Yeah...

Reminds me of that beautiful girl I met once, I didn't catch her either.

Too slow, always I was too slow.

42 minutes for 3 to go and still a 15" AK left? Definitely a lazy day ( other than the Chainpuri ).

Think everyone has their supply of 15" Ak's stocked up right now. I know I've gotten them twice lately without much of a rush. Great user knife though. Least, hope so. t yring them out for first time this weekend. :)_

That Chainpuri was a great looking khukuri! I think I'd like to have that style khukuri with a horn handle next. Uncle Bill...od you get these in very often?

Actually, I tried one and realized I did not regisiter, tried one after registering and failed and tried again today. I was home for a while for lunch and figured I better check.

I am the proud owner of the 18" AK, I sent the check out before I went off to work. My very first Khuk, I'm not sure what to expect, but I am pretty pleased at the moment.

lonegunman make room for more than one:) these knives get lonely and demand friends to keep them company......I started with one not long ago now I have three and I keep trying to grab that one special deal
so far Ive been to slow......

For good reason.
Excellent catch.
Beautiful, Beautiful AK at an exceptional price.
And Kumar, with a nice looking karda.
The horn on all three pieces looks to have some nice streaking.
(be sure to use one of the recommended lanolin or
other treatments on the horn.)
My favorite profile for an AK
(look back over other offerings to get an idea of the variations)
[Toward the bottom of the page, set "Showing Threads" from "Last Year" and press Go,
then click the "Thread Starter" column head to re-sort,
then page through to find "bill martino" and check for past offerings.]

I picked up my own 18" AK last May from:

[good thread on wood handle repair.]
Blade's not as sleek looking as yours,
but I expect to keep it for a long time.
The handle is cracked noticably wider now than this picture of original condition.
One of these days I may get around to doing something to it.

 .... If you like handmade things, and knives in particular, expect to be enthralled.

Congrats and welcome.

If it's still here when I get back from campout sunday(and if I lose both these 15" akis' to friends at campout), I'll just pick it up. I like the 15" AK a lot, no problem ordering another one. :)

LGM, the 18" AK was my second khuk after a BAS. I was astounded at it's size, heft and beauty. You chose wisely.
