The 18" AK was my first choice, but Bill had already sent a 15" AK so I gave it, the cute little thing, to my sweet wife Barbie and waited until the 18" AK got here for me.
I removed the original karda and chakma and replaced them with two kardas I made.
One was a CS Red River blade cut down to the size I wanted and the other more heavy duty one I made from 1/2 of a pruneing shears and hardened & tempered myself, both are handled in whitetail stag!!!!
It's still my choice for a heavy duty do anything khuk although I have others that excell at certain tasks, but for all around usefulness I don't believe an 18"AK can be beat.
