4 Bushcrafting knives ... which one?

The puukko for the beauty, but you cannot baton with it
So
The one on the far left for the overall apperance and the blade shape

The Fletcher seems to be the more versatile of the pack but the puukko is a very efficient and pleasant knife to use for all smaller tasks (if heavier stuff is involved, you may have to complement it with its big beater brother, the leukku).

HA! yes... something like that except my boy gets pick of the litter, Dad suffers having to own the remaining 3, what a shame yeah? ;)

I did that last year with folders and my two sons. Offered eight to pick from...PM2's, Strider, CRK, Spyderco, ZT.
One boy took my favorite NIB Strider digicam Sng; the other son took two folders...PM2 and ZT0350 to add up to similar cost.
I love my boys, but they surely have good taste.
And...of course...my grandson is only 8 but has a mess of folders already...some from me, some from his papa.

I'd have also picked the Fletcher. The others look great as well, but I think the Fletcher looks great.

That's awesome! Tell him I'm honored to have made the knife he picked. That was definitely a tuffy. All of those are very fine knives.

I would take the Fiddleback out of those choices. Or the Fletcher because I don't have one yet. :D

I see he made a fine choice. Great gift and I hope he gets a lifetime of service from it.

Fletcher is a good choice, looks like a great, all-around knife. I think I would have grabbed the puuko (his 2nd choice), but I'd carry a hatchet along as well.

Luke shearer puukko. It's a classy knife and splitting logs and stickin pigs isn't bushcraft knife territory anyways. It looks like it would handle all the small tasks and carving needs that an axe wouldn't be so keen on.

Heck of a gift by the way, you must be proud of him.
