These knives have been designed with a thick tip and a moderate final edge angle to maximize the durability of CPM-3V (see note below for additional edge thickness information). The handles are ergonomically contoured to provide comfort in all holding positions and have a matte finish to increase grip. The carbon fiber handled knives are slightly slimmer than the layered G10 knives, which contributes to further weight reduction versus G10. The image above with the sheaths shows some of the various ways the belt loops can be positioned for carry.

Please Note:
*- The heat treating is outsourced to a professional experienced in heat treating CPM steels to Crucible’s specifications with the hardness verified by Rockwell diamond impression after final tempering
**- Due to the nature of Kydex, the surface of the blade will show superficial scuffs and scratches; The tip of the sheath has an opening for moisture drainage

Additional Edge Thickness Info:
About the tip and convex edge, other than the tip and half way up the belly, the rest of the blade (approx 4" of it) has a thickness of 0.010" - 0.015" at the top of the edge grind (before grinding the edge, the primary grind was taken almost to a zero edge to provide for a good slicing edge). The tip and thick grind of the belly, however, are quite robust at 0.020" - 0.030". I do not usually provide such a thick tip section but in the case of 3V, which lends itself to being used harder, it provides an extra measure of durability.

Looks really great. I have been playing house husband and doing all the cooking. Each time I use a chef's knife I think it would make a great user for the field. Your design confirms my thoughts.

Oh man, Those knives look AMAZING. I wish I could buy one just a bit out of my price range :(

Im going to watch for your work, it looks like its great quality.

I would like one of the layered G-10 models, (the second one from the top!) but I have a few questions first; I sent you an email and a PM. I'm 99.9% certain I will buy it, just need to confirm a couple of things, please if you can hold it for me till I hear back from you I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Jon - email sent.

Geargeek - email sent and knife held.

Additional information requested by Geargeek has also been added to the description.

Paypal address added under purchase info.

Shipping cost for US express has been updated to reflect my cost with insurance (was $35, now $40, still slightly less than my cost).

Email sent on the G 10 second from top, I'll take it but will wait to hear back from you before sending payment, thanks!

Alright folks, all knives have been spoken for, once payments have cleared, I'll post to indicate.

Until then, if any sales do not complete, I will post which knives (if any) become available and those who request a knife will be eligible to purchase in order of requests made.

To Mr Tanto: I will be making more of these knives but I can't say when for sure??? Apologies about that

Aslong as you make some more and I got the money for it at the time I'll be happy, the quality in these knives are worth the wait.

Hi - I'll take seconds on a carbon fiber model if one becomes available. Thanks. Mike

I like these a lot, and if they are all gone, I'm wondering if you will take an order for future production. Can I reach you by email at the Paypal address?
