The Dogwood Carver was designed for a group of wood carvers I was working with and has the classic blade shape of a wood carving knife with a sheeps foot point and short thin blade. It can get into tight spots with excellent control giving it all the blade that one needs, with no extra to get in the way. While doing field testing in the Amazon on my last trip with Bushcraft Global, I noticed that it also makes an outstanding utility knife. At less than 3 oz it weighs less than most folders and like with wood carving, has just enough blade for everyday chores with nothing extra to get in the way. Be it opening packages, cutting line, stripping wire, and killing time with a little whittling, the carver is as good an everyday knife as it is a carver.
