I like the proportions and I like the side-by-side pin layout, although my sensibilities tell me the should be the same distance apart. I haven't seen side-by-side pins before. Why did you have them different distances apart? Equal distance from edges, maybe?

How many more do you have nearly done? It seems like just a couple days since #3 was finished.

Edited to say that I just noticed the pin layout on #3.

Ernie, the knife is great and the handle scales, colors are fantastic! Now if I can just talk you out of the choil! :D :D Just poking fun. Great looking knife!

I sent 4 out to to heat treat, I have one more I am going to be finished with tomorrow. The pin layout is just the way I thought would look best with my first knife.

I am going to do some with out the choil soon. I got 12 blanks from great lakes waterjet and I still have 10 to go!!

I like the blade shape, the wood looks like dyed plywood no idea how the layers are dyed unless they are dyed before the layers are glued together.
Choils are a good thing

Looks very nice, Ernie. But, and it is just my unsolicited and humble opinion that MY eye just wants there to be a little more handle up towards the ricasso. Keep up the good work!

No thats not it, I will have to dig through my garbage and find the tape that was on it, That had the names on it!!
