What an irrelevant factor in knife production, assuming these laws are relatively recent? Should whole factories just up and leave a community because a law changed? Wow. Definitely not suitable for GKD, nor for civilised, informed debate for that matter.

It’s also a pretty subjective term. There’s obviously a spectrum of enforcement. I live near a border and have heard we are a sanctuary city, but Border Patrol has a heavy presence here. Beats me.

However if I chose to be picky like OP my knife problem would be a lot more under control.

What you actually wrote was that you wanted a 4-inch folder that is not in California.
There's a lot of 4" folders sold here in California, so I think you may be stuck.

What you probably meant was you didn't want to buy a 4" folder that was made in California. Not sure that I know of any made here, aside from customs.

I have no idea what cities are listed as sanctuary cities. Maybe if you listed the cities we could help you. Or you could just find out which knife you like and look up where it is made.
