For Sale:
A 4" JOHN PRIMBLE BELKNAP HDW. & MFG. CO. Hawkbill. The knife is an older piece (I'm not sure how old), but has been nicely restored. The blade and bolsters have been cleaned up with the blade receiving a beautiful mirror polish by Forum member Glenn. Snap is excellent and strong, pull is stout but still easily pinch-able, there is very slight side to side movement, but especially for an older piece it falls well within the realm of acceptability (I would never have bought it, or offer it up for sale, if I saw it as a real problem). Centering is good, but not perfect - erring to one side, but with no rubbing. The scales are, I believe, walnut, and in excellent overall condition (minus a slight ding seen in the 4th picture). The blade has been sharpened to a razor's edge.
Price: withdrawn (Paypal only - as goods). Includes fees & USPS priority shipping.
