Here is one of my scagel pattern {the base pattern was from Jerry Eizenga's book} 4" folders in 440c stainless steel decked out with a handsanded finish, and stabilized boxelder burl scales with stainless liners, front and rear bolsters and pins. this one is a nice solid medium size medium use utility knife, for daily cutting uses such as opening mail, trimming fingernails, peeling an apple, opening dog food bags, cutting cardboard, ect....

OAL open- 7 1/16" open and 4" closed

blade- 3 1/16" long tip to scales, .085" thick at the spine, .042" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .007" thick at the shoulder of the edge. 11/16" wide

steel- 440c stainless steel, oil quenched and triple tempered, for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to resharpen!

grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a DMT 325 diamond hone with micro bevels, to an aggressive razor edge

finish- 600 grit handsanded finish

handle- stabilized boxelder burl, stainless liners, bolsters and pins

weight - 3.20 ounces

half stop

milled inside the scales so the blade doesnt get scratched

tip is pretty dang perfectly centered, flush in all 3 positions, nice walk and talk, opens a hair harder than a victorinox tinker large blade, and still comfortable with the thumbnail
