4 straights in 52100 steel
they are all in the 7/8 range in size and with different points and lengths
the 2 on the left are hollow round on a 2 inch wheel and the 2 on the right are "wedge" ground (10 inch wheel grind )
they are all satin belt finished and will be hones to a shave ready edge (8k grit)
all that you will need to do to shave with them is strop and use
asking $300 each

straight razors with 52100?
wow!
those are spectacular!
nicely done.
what sort of wood was used on these?

btw, folks.... if you haven't priced some of the "premium" straight razors on the market these days, these babies look like a real bargain.

Those are all beauties, love that first one.....your selection and finish of handle materials is exceptional.

I would like to see some pics of the inside please. These are very nicely done indeed!

just so you know i can grind the tip of the last razor any way you might want
i started the project to allow for semi custom razors

The second has a weird point.

Is there a purpose to it?

it is acting as a blade stop so i would not hav eot put a stop pin in the handle
the slot in the handle for the blade is 1/8 wide give or take and the blade is 3/16 wide so while it should not slide into the handle also it keeps the heel in the scale better (not poking out the back side or even close to it ) would not want o have someone nick themselves on the razor

I am interested in a straight razor and your designs look fantastic.

Are any of these still available?
Any others up for grabs?

I saw some of your higher-end razors on another site and I am looking for one that is lower-cost in terms of materials. These look great.

How is 52100 for shaving? Do you use any other steels in your straight razors?

i like to use 52100 for its fine grain and "ease of heat treat" (easy when you have a kiln and parks 50)
the ebony razor is still for sale and i might have a shorter 7/8 razor in curly AU ironwood up soon (waiting to hear back from a buyer on it )
