E-mail sent on 20" Sirupati by Amtrak. Bit my tongue and held off long as I could, but couldn't stand it any longer. I know first hand that Raju (Amtrak) does fine work, and jiminy crickets guys, a 20" Siru that weighs in under a pound and a half, that there's a wicked quick slicer and dicer!! That fellow needing a trail clearing tool would have himself a field day with this one.

Sarge

You got yourself a sweet piece of wood there too Sarge...imagine what it could look like with some TLC!

Someone beat me to the 15" Sirupati.

Uncle Bill - Is the Kobra really a full 2 pounds? It looks lean, and has a nice blade and handle. It is a bit large for my taste, but it looks so nice that it is tempting. If 2 pounds, it must be pretty thick.

I am still waiting for my first khukuri to come in...there was a little mix up..but it is on its way...I bet once I see it, specials like these won't last to long....:D :D :D

By the way, does anyone remember the village kami who touched his tongue to a piece of steel and declared that it was good steel?

Later ran across an article on so-called "super tasters" who can detect differences in taste and smell at one tenth the level that ordinary folks can tell a difference.

Maybe that kami really could tell. Be a poorer world without mysteries like that.

Uncle Bill, I'll take the kobra if it is still available. I used my khukuri again today at work and there are sooooo... many people who want one. I need to suck up to the project manager.:D

I might have to start my own side business instead of giving them away.;)

Dealers get discounts?

Jeez, Sams, where do you work and what do you do??? I tried to write code with my BAS and it was a miserable failure.

Aardvark,
I work construction. A Florida licensed general contractor. I work in and around the water. When I was younger I did allot of commercial diving work. Now, my claim is burning and welding U/W. It is easy for an old man to do.
I had a "big time company" 50 to 60 employees, It was taken away in a divorce and now I nickel and dime with a few good men.

I am at the mouse wonderland now. The mouse gestappo is not what Mr.Disney intended. I work with the snakes and alligators but I don't hurt them and they don't hurt me. But I have to clear vegitation and wood debris around the work site in the water.

Ah, that clears things up. Though I can picture some interesting headlines if the media catches you clearing vegetation with 20" sirupatis.

BTW, the Bucket Boss GateMouth 'Long Boy' works really well for the longer khuks, plus all the sharpening supplies you could ever want (except for the belt sander). It's on sale, too. (www.duluthtrading.com)
