Very Nice. I assume that this is a custom order? By that I mean, there isn't a 25" AK listed on the web site, only a 20. What is the waiting time for something like that?

Might be, but it shouldn't be that long of a wait though.:D

It's not on the list as being available because it's one humongous honkin' gigantic and heavy knife. It is evidently assumed that if you don't know enough to ask for it then you ain't up to using it.

The 15" AK is a nice little knife usually around a pound and a half. The 18"ers add about another pound to the weight. The 20"ers are again about as much heavier. Not something for casual use, and something to be worked up to. By special order you can get the big 20" models supersized to about 22", but you'd better be well built and about 6'4" to handle one that size.

Someone able to handle a 25" full weight AK? I don't know - maybe an nfl linebacker close to 6'10" and weighing in at about 280 pounds of muscle, ( no lard bellies need apply ).

Maybe if you are going to chop down trees all day with it, using one hand.;) Not many people walking around that could handle that for long, maybe a dozen or so.

My plans for it are for splitting wood..(Two Handed).:D

I agree, Ankerson. I am also hoping to get a larger blade someday as the 18" AK is not enough. I've trimmed and cut down pine trees with khukuris, and need something heavier, though I'm not 6'4" and the lard around my belly has protected me from women for many years.

I'm holding out for the 22 - 23" Ganga Ram.

TOO BIG for me. Leave that for the big guys.
My 20" villager is plenty big enough and the 22 " kobra is big enough, but not for chopping big trees. :)

I am not that big....5'10" 195 LBS.....all you need is the need to have one and the rest will follow....:D

Ditto Ankerson; 5'11" and 185 here. I am pleased to announce after a year of beating around the bush and trying half measures I am now on my way towards owning the 25" AK.

Let's make it safe, eh, and remember to take care and watch ourselves and those around us as we cut?

Those pines are gonna get it now!
