My journey on this road to perdition began four years ago, when I bought a Ratweiler from Tyrkon Lawson. Here's what I said then:

Is this how it starts? An unnatural desire for a KNIFE??

How any of these things do you have to get before someone teaches you the secret handshake, or whatever it is you guys do?

Paypal sent. This time next week I'll be wandering around the yard looking for things to chop! ( Really dear, we didn't like that tree anyway.......)

Four years, many knives, too many $$$ later (), it's been a great ride. Thanks to everyone for making this a great community.

Happy Anniversary !

or condolences, depending on perspective ;)

I remember you contacting me way back then, after I sniped a BM-E away from you on that auction site. :foot:

It's been an interesting journey, glad you're along !

People like you are the reason I keep coming back.

Oh, well, and the knives--yeah, almost forgot. :D

I think it's really cute that even back then you were comfortable enough with Tyrkon Lawson to call him "dear"...

:p :p :p :p :p

Just kidding, it's funny how you seemed to "know" right away. ~3 years ago I basically walked in blindly without having any idea what I was getting myself into.

Guy, Been good dealing with you as well Bro!!! AND yes on the money, anguish, OH why didn't I buy that one!, and many of the absolute best knives going, I have ***NO REGRETS***

Ah, yes. Infi in, Infi out... oh the madness!

You say "Its been a great ride" as if you are done... i'm concerned. You know the only cure for infiection is more infi! ;)

But I gotta agree with ya... as great as the knives are, and as much fun as I have with them it is the fantastic community here that keeps me coming back!

Good on ya Guy! You are one of the originals to show me the good intent of HOGship. I'm glad we are both still around (and addicted).:D

I can't picture 4 years.

I'm just finishing up my first year, and between my dad and I, we have 9 Busses at the moment, and a Gladius on order. And we're in the process of selling 2 of them to fund more purchases.

INFI is a hell of a drug.

Thanks All! I just celebrated with a cigar and a healthy pour of bourbon. :D

Yes, and after you stomped this piglet, you then shared some tips on how it's done.

Same to you, sir...wish I could have met you at Blade.

Well...I lurked here for five months before I went for the Trough.

You say "Its been a great ride" as if you are done... i'm concerned. You know the only cure for infiection is more infi! ;)

No, no, I'm sticking around. But I will be trimming the collection; buy one, sell three, something like that.

Seems like I have been around for 3 years or so, and I lurked for quite a while before actually registering. I remember the first infi I got, I knew I was done with just the FBMLE. I fluctuate between 4-5 pieces of infi. I have a KZ on pre order, and hopefully a Basic11 coming. I will have to sell one (most likely the FBMLE).

Gravitated to this subforum very early on, and spend most of my time here.

Wow...4 years... Congrats!!

My, how time flies! :D I'm very near that mark, myself, if counting the few months that I lurked in here before posting... But officially, my fourth year from first post in this forum will be Oct. 11th, IIRC, where I posted a congrats in your thread about a certain very cool rams horn CS GW...which I believe was your first INFI score. :)

Congrats on 4 years. :thumbup::thumbup:

I have not been here anywhere near that long and I am too afraid to count up how much infi is in my posession :D

As long as you are having fun............

Nice story!

For me, the question is- ya still got the RW??!! hah!

Did you, like I, buy from Tyrkon before knowing that he is one of Busse's unofficial extreme field testers? You bought a Ratweiler, June '06, I got a SJTAC from him in March of '07. Don't know what abuse he put mine through, but all that I saw was a few scuffs on the tan blade coating.
Ditto rpn's comment and question and I'll add, what condition was it in when you got it?
Pete
