40" Ganga Ram (Warning: Lots of Pics)

OK...

If you are 6'2", and find a 20inch in appropriate proportion to your height/weight, how big a person would one have to be in order for this monster to fit in correct ratio to his height/weight?

How big a hand would that person have to have?

How many truck springs died for that blade to be made?

Dave,

Obviously the kamis don't think we sacrifice water buffalo here in the US.

I wonder just what they think we do sacrifice though?

I'm so happy to see that thing on your shoulder!

this has to positively end all further discussion about the usefullness of the phrase; 'now, this is a knife.'

"This Nine Pound hammer is a little too heavy
for my size, honey, for my size.

-Roll on buddy, don't you roll so slow
Baby, how can I roll, when the wheels won't roll?

Up on the mountain, just to see my honey
and I aint coming back, Lord, I aint coming back

-Roll on buddy, don't you roll so slow
Baby, how can I roll, when the wheels won't roll?

It's a long way to Hazard, a long way to Harlan,
just to get a little booz, just to get a little booze

-Roll on Buddy, don't you roll so slow
how can I roll, when the wheels won't roll?

Ain't one hammer in the tunnel
that rings like mine, that rings like mine

-Roll on buddy, don't you roll so slow
how can I roll, when the wheels won't roll?

It rings like silver, and shines like gold
it rings like silver, and shines like gold."

i'm still seeing it.

All right now, seriously,

1. A baldric is the only way to carry... such a thing. Or any 25" and up.

2. It's beautiful Art: which is amazing, because unlike catalog junk, HI's are meant to be fielded. The "water buffalo beheading ceremony" khuk the other guy sells is a wallhanger, whereas this monster COULD do that job, it seems...

3. What are the kamis thinking, making this Cosmic-sized Khukuri, which is clearly meant to be used?

Ah. I know now.

4. OK, Dave. An awesome responsibility falls to you. Are there any cattle stockyards nearby?

I didn't realize King Kong had already been released in Nepal - we've got to keep Bura out of the movie house from now on:D

Dave that thing is unbelievable. You look like a Giant with a club over your shoulder. I'm waiting for your to smash france with that thing in one blow.:D (Remember to swign light as france is softer than balsa wood and I wouldn't want you to split the Earth's core.)

Seriously, you've gotta sacrifice something now. My grandad has an old shetland pony hanging around in the fields. Maybe you could take a swing at that. :(

Dave,

WOW

That is a blade to cherish! It is incredible. Congrats on a great monster.

Holy freaking crap. Nice one!!!

You'd probably have to be this guy:

I'm not kidding, you would need to be at least 9 or 10 feet tall with proportional strength to handle that thing!

Incredible!

(But down in Texas they probably call that one a "middlin' sized belt knife" so what do I know.)

It would be interesting (or dangerous as all hell?) to get a good edge on that thing and go to town on something massive. Like steely said though, a 22 or 23" GRS is as much as I could handle with one hand and this is a bit beyond that.

The scrimshaw work on the karda and chakma is incredible. Seriously Dave, I might hang the monster up, but I would see about getting a nice sheath made for that karda.

Did I say "incredible" yet?

Good thing for a good guy Dave!
