$400 for a knife!!!!

I like to buy the best. I've found that it actually saves money in the long run. $400 is reasonable if you buy something of high quality. CRK and a few customs come to mind.

never been a prob for me, i live in TX and my edc knives are perfectly legal, so if that did happen i would call my cousin (an atty) and we would get it straightened out.

i dont think many LEO's are gonna risk there career for a knife.

Unfortunately, they know they're not risking their career. That sort of thing is common-place here. It's one thing if an LEO doesn't know better. (I think he should, before going out there to enforce the Law).

It's the ones who know, but don't care. That's what bothers me. They see a carry-clip at the top of a man's pants pocket, and they know they have an easy bust. It looks good on their record.... having taken a dangerous weapon off the streets.

The mentality of LEOs here in NYC is far different than out in Texas.

I don't walk around with an open blade in my hand. I also rely on my main knife for self-defense. I carry an Emerson Mini-Commander. In order to use the Wave feature, I have to clip the knife to my pants pocket. If a knowledgeable LEO knows what to look for, he'll still spot the black clip against my black pants.

I try to wear a covering garment so the clip is hidden. But this isn't always possible. If you have any ideas, please share!
