410-416 SS Bar and sheet stock difference?

Is there a difference in bar stock and sheet stock with these materials as far as finishing is concerned? Sheet stock is much cheaper. Thanks
 
The big difference is that 416 is a high sulfur free machining grade.The sulfide particles responsible for free machining may buff out when polishing therefore leaving small visible pits.
Bar vs sheet 410 or bar vs sheet 416 should have no difference.
