Thanks for the info. That's a thick sucker for sure. I also have no experience with that handle design although it look's to be comfy, you just never know until you handle it for yourself.
 
Yeah I to was wonder why the SY311 and the SR411 went with the 1/4?
Comparison pics next to the RMD or HRLM would be nice.
 
Dan over on the Scrapyard forums clarified earlier that the 311 is going to be 3/16" thick, original 1/4" was just a mistake by the web guy. He also mentioned that he's pretty sure the Rodent 4 is also around 3/16" when he saw one.

Good, I like thinner blades on this size of knife. I really dig my Anorexic B4s
 
Guys...I just checked Swamp Website...specs are Updated to 3/16" thick for the Rodent 4.

MUCH BETTER!! Thanks, Eric!! This will be a great blade.

I ordered my 4-11. I think that it and the 9-11 will round out my Rodent collection. I don't "need" any of them but I'm not going to get the 3, 5 & 7... :foot:
 
Passing on the Rodent series except maybe the 3 since it doesn't seem to have the bump. Order in for the 311, looks like a winner. The 511 handle just fits me and the 311 looks the same.
