Hey guys, Does anybody have a piece 3/8" x 3/4"x 8" long they care to sell? Mike and I are needing it for our fund raiser sub hilt knife. For some reason the 416 is off the shelves in the places I usually buy it.

We are making a Loveless Big Bear Sub Hilt Fighter as a fund raiser project to purchase play ground equipment for an orphanage in Jamaica. We only have about 4-5 weeks to finish it and sell it. We are doing a WIP on it over on the knifedogs forum. Here is the link if you would like to follow along. We are stuck right now until I can find the 416 for the guards.

I may have some pieces but none 8" long.
Have you tried to find some 1/4" x 3/4" ? you can always grind it down.
AKS may have some.

The guard is 3/8" thick. 1/4" is too narrow. Would you have a look in your inventory? I dont need a full 8" long. It has a double guard and a sub hilt. I could get by with 6" long

BB, I found a piece of 420 ss in my shop. It is 13" X 2" X 1". I believe that Bill Vinning gave it to me at one of my HI's. Let me know if you want a piece.:thumbup:
