420hc Steel

Hey guys, just wondering if this steel is as good as the old 425m steel that buck used to use, i just accuired a buck pathfinder and notice the difference. thanks

I find it to be better, I have a few 425M Bucks and to me they do not seem to hold an edge as well as the 420HC.

I agree that it's better. Recently I've been comparing a 112 with 425M to my newish 110 in 420HC. They've both been sharpened to approximately identical profiles.

It seems easier to get a really sharp edge on the 420HC. It also seems to feel sharp longer.
