I hope that's not how you decide who you're going to vote for. I think both deserve consideration.

I think credentials are unimportant if your arguments and logic are sound and you relate your experience honestly and accurately. So IMO people's credentials and are not very important - except for their trustworthiness. This rule of thumb also applies to elections.

However, people who have a reputation for being knowledgeable on a certain subject are often the same who can make a concise argument in favor of their position. Don't discard the exceptions to that rule. An example would be a 12-year-old prodigy who can solve a methematical problem faster than a seasoned math teacher although odds are that a student is not as knowledgeable as his teacher.

so its an ok steel if i just keep it sharpened all the time

Essentially, the low hardness also means you will have difficulty in getting it *really* sharp as the edge will tend to roll. The edge retention isn't so bad however that you cut a few pieces of 3/8" hemp rope and have to resharpen, you could easily cut a hundred without difficulty for example.

So the 420 used in CS push daggers is next to worthless? I know it is not a cutting knife, but i wouldn't break the damn thing when hitting bone either?

Resiliance towards breaking with lateral force is a good thing in a push dagger right?

AISI 420 is probably the toughest stainless steel used in knives, in regards to ability to bend and take impacts.
