...Hillshire Farms is located where it was founded in New London, Wisconsin. It was bought out by Sara Lee in 1971. I used to drive by their original farm and outlet store every other week end back in the mid to late sixties when I went up to my house in northern Wisconsin. The meats and sausages were totally different back then and were worth the trip all by itself. They were an actual working farm in the sixties. They also used to sell great Wisconsin cheeses that were as fresh as could be imagined.
