It seems like I see the 43OT on ebay a lot but I haven't seen much written about it. Does anyone have any experience with this model?

The 43OT had a 4" closed length and weighed 2.5 ounces. The blade was a partially serrated Schrade+ stainless 2 3/4" clip point with ambidextrous polymer thumb studs for opening. The black polymer molded frame had green molded TPR handle inserts with a molded in “Old Timer” shield, and a brass thong hole liner ferrule. The locking device uses a stainless lock bar with a press-to-release tab exposed in the forward finger groove. This model came with an attached polymer pocket clip instead of a sheath. The tangstamp was SCHRADE+ over U.S.A. 43OT, and it was produced a total of eight years.

I have one in my collection, but I have not used it. It is a bit large to be considered a pocket knife, IMHO. And I personally don't care for serrated blades in a user. They are cheap, though. And worth looking at if they interest you. Not a big investment in a "maybe".

I've used one for a while and I consider it to be a good utility knife, a good choice for the toolbox, glove compartment, anyplace where you can use a decent beater knife. Perfect for scraping gaskets, stripping wire, cutting abrasive materials, etc. I don't care for the design or ergo's much, but they are a functional tool and a decent value in a work knife.
