So, I was wondering how reliable the heat treatment of 440c is?

Would it be safe to run it at 60-62? Or would 58 or 59 be a better choice?
The purpose of the finished product is to be more of a classy, gentleman's EDC,
So it's not going to be put through a lot of hard tasks.
Does it even matter if I add an extra 2 RC?

Thanks in advanced,
Alex.

60 -62 is far to high for 440-C. Yes about 58 - 59 will work much better for it. There are only some of the newer developed steels that will take that hardness and not have a brittle edge. Frank

Hmmm, I was going to run it at 59, but I think I'll just take it too 60.

It makes sense, since my last knife was an 01 Bushcraft, While this is a light use EDC.
I should be fine.

Thank you, Mr. Edge.
