440C for chopper/machete?

Hi all,

Recently i have gotten some 440C that i wish to try making some knives. I reckon that since i'm a chopper sucker why not use 440C for it?
Please share with me your views, pros and cons (stock thickness and HRC)

It definitely wouldn't be my first choice. 440C is not exactly the toughest steel around.
 
Between relatively low toughness, fairly poor edge stability and less then ideal sharpenability, off the top of my head I can not think of a common steel I'd like less in a machete.
