440c pcg? Also glass platen question

G'day, does anyone sell pcg 440c. I am having trouble finding some.
Glass platen, referencing an earlier thread, will a glass platen be useful on a worn metal platen that's not working evenly? Ty
 
I think it should work just fine. I suggest you go the way many do and that is to install a metal strip or a couple of screws at the bottom of the old platen and then use JB weld to attatch the glass. then should something happen to the new glass platen the bottom plate or screws will minimize the problem when it occurs. Frank
