I hate these questions but what would you get for around 450$ and you didn't like sebenza?
I like the idea of a sebenza but I have had a 21, a 25, an umnumzaan, and an indigo, all new, all sold at varying degrees of loss. Had a Kirby Lambert that was 500$ and the recurve put me off. I have a couple Alan Davis folders, I love them, want something different and a bit ruggeder. Not over built, Hinderer doesn't appeal to me.
I do like titanium, I do like carbon fiber, a grind that slices fairly well would be my choice. This will be a gift from my folks.
I had been looking at the axis stryker in m4 until mom told me what the cost parameters were.
Anyway, throw some suggestions at me, I have been spending waaay too much time on all the websites. I am set on sharpening supplies so the "buy a 562 and an edge pro" doesn't work. Give me some help guys, mom wants it under the tree so I need to make a decision soon.
Thanks, Russ

You don't have to max out their budget. If you like the M4 CF Stryker then I'd go for it.

Look into Custom Knife Factory. They have models that may statisfy your "wants" at your price point.

Maybe a Les George Talos?

Dua and the talos are a little heavy for me. My folks can afford it, I may get the benchmade myself but am concerned about the grind, although I love m4.
I will look at the ckf offerings, probably 3.75" blade would be my limit. I wish Tim galyean was still in business, his smaller pro line knives always appealed to me.
I hate to say it but along the lines of a crk is kind of what I am looking for size and weight wise. Russ

Wilson Combat Les George Talon or Eagle?

Of course, I only recommend those because they remind me of CRK, and I would get a CRK if I were in your situation.

Let us know what you decide to go with, I can't think of anything else in that range that is just like a Sebenza without being a Sebenza (a little more would put you into Shiro and Rockstead territory, which is where I am looking at next, but out of the price range you requested.)

Look at Doc Shiffer an David Mosier midtechs on Arizona Custom, you might be interested.

Also check out Liong Mah's Reate-made knives, Bradford folders, and Burke midtechs. Also the Les George VECP.

Check Rod Olson's knives out. I have owned two of the quick flip M9 folders and they are great.

Gee, it seems to me that surprise is the best aspect to Christmas gifts. Maybe they'll surprise you with a Bear Gryllz!
