4775 RPM From 1750 Motor with VFD?

It looks like this will be a good plan. I have to be careful when I change belts, because they want to scrape the grinder's powder coating on the way on and off. Other than that, this is convenient, and I think I can get my other belt grinder to fit on the same cart. The arm on the big grinder will retract out of the way, so I can still move the cart around without bumping into things too much.

That is an old Reuland 2 HP lathe motor. The rust is from a learning experience I had, concerning storing tightly capped muriatic acid in the garage. It's the biggest 2 HP motor I've ever seen. I'm sure it's rated for continuous duty, given that it came from an old piece of machinery that cost more than a car when it was new. The plate on the motor is not easy to read now. I plan to sand the motor down and put some hammer-finish paint or truck bed paint on it.

I don't know what I'm going to do with the VFD. I could actually hang the other VFD under the cart's upper tray if I wanted. It has a removable control pad, so I could mount the controls up by the grinder and keep the VFD out of the way. For all I know, the VFD in the photo has a detachable control pad; I would need to go to Beijing Junior College for three years to be able to read the manual.
