486 Outing, Eastern Columbia River Gorge

Nice pics oregon, and thats a talented bucklite, I esp like how it made itself look like a fence lizard:p

LOL

Those lizards are funny. They seem to think that they are invisible and only skitter when you get too close. I wanted to put the open knife next to the black one for scale but he that he wasn't having any of that when the knife was inches away.

Thank you kindly.

I was attracted to this knife first by its practicality. Then, once in my hand, I was charmed by its beauty. The blade grind and the polished vs brushed facets on it are attractive to me. The upper false edge is almost cutting sharp.

The handle gives a good grip, forward and reverse. The handle has the finger guard up front and the tail swells to keep your hand on the handle and not sliding onto the blade or off the tail. Safe and secure.

Thank you!

I am going to blame you though.... well when the wife audits the spending :D
I am wondering though.... Orange or black? Orange or black????
Maybe one of each huh Dave! :D LOL (I can always pass it to one of the kids, right? ) :D

Orange. You gotta get the orange. Get two orange and one black. You wont' carry the black because you wouldn't want to lose it. They are that good.

O.K. you guys talked me into it! Orange it is!

Thanks again for the great pics and "Pure" Pressure :D

Excellent choice, arrived at as if you were in a vacuum.

Look at the two shown here, the orange is so rich and calls out to be used. While the black, now where did it go..., it was here a minute ago, is so sterile and subdued.

And it will match everything in deer camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

These may make a great gift for Dad and Brother also.... HHhmmmmm

You are killing me with those pics :D

I think I will have to work on getting them each one :D

Matching wouldnt be bad for me! My Dad and Brother are both better at sharpening than me.... I could just "swap" them out occassionally ;) They would just wonder how their knife dulled over night LOL

Orange, definately orange!!!!!!

Great photos Oregon, makes me want to get off this chair and get outside...

My wife and I were up in Oregon earlier this month and took a short hike up to Watson Falls, beautiful state you live in.

I did get a large one today off the bay. Should be here next week so I can see the size difference between the medium and large first hand. Both will be black.

I get different colors under different lighting.

This orange color is somewhat cameleon-like. When asking different family members what color the scales are I get different answers.

Thank you for the tip 110 Dave.

I was in Virginia, visiting that neck of the woods for the first and only time one year after the recent unpleasantness in NYC, and I was struck by the beauty and kindness of the people I met there in the parts of Virginia I visited.

Harper's Ferry is so embedded in my memory, the armory, the raid, J. Brown, the river, the canal, naval gun implacements, large caliber bullet holes still in some of the walls of buildings there and the singular feeling of being on hallowed ground. I want to return.
