A royal flush.
Dog bone Bowie by Bruce Evans (I think this fellow Ole Mississippi boy just might have a future as a knifemaker LOL:D - sorry Bruce couldn't help myself. The Sterling silver mounted inlay/carved sheath is by yours truly.

Read 'em and weep!

Chuck

a little filler while ya'll are waiting for Bruce's JS knife pics.

Thanks Bruce B. It always helps to have good knives to work with. One of these days I'll get my hands on one of yours!

That's the first silver smithing I have done in a while (much prefer to work with Sterling rather than nickel)and I've got to admit it didn't come out too shabby considering I didn't have the "right" tools.

I`m speechless!!!!  an if y`all knew me then
you would know how hard that is to do .. Great job all

OH BOY! Stay hot Chuck. Mine will be on its way to you Wednesday or Thursday. Oh man, I hope I don't srew up on these last few details.

They go together all right and what a knife and what a sheath!

Chuck, I'll be dialing your phone number tonight. I'll be the one with the hill-billy accent.
Roger

  dang Chuck nice
antiquing too,,,did you send Pete a Picture of that??
nice job you both...:D
cut it out you guys I'm going to have to start buying in stead
of making:D :D ;)

Roger I'll be here and you ain't the only one who talks hill billy!

Dan - Nope. I like customers see it in person first - pictures just don't always do it justice and I don't like them to have preconceived notions. Besides he's been real cranky recently.:D

Now that's one heck of a combo, not sure, but I think I've handled that particular bowie before. If so all I can say is that it's very comfortable and the ballance is increadable, but that can be said of all of Bruce's bowies.

Now that sheath just goes perfectly with it, love the aged silver fittings and carved center.

What an awsome combo!

i could taste the red eye and smell the cigars with a piano banging away in the backround!;)

WOW

Very nice job on the sheath,it really looks awesome with my Bowie.
Hey I agree that someday I will be able to make a knife:D
Bruce

Bruce you don't have far to go! it was tough making a sheath to match the quality.

Sent a link to the forums posts to Pete (the customer-he asked..).
Here's what he said:
"That is a beautiful piece of work and really compliments the knife. You're going to get this sheathmaking down pat before much longer- just kidding. Nice job!"

Good to know the customer is happy.
