Here they are! This is a very cool design I got to work on with some local Search and Rescue folks. Our own River8 gave me his drawing and after a couple protos, passing it around the campfire, and tweaks we have come up with the 4inS&R!!! It is a very handy utility knife that has been purposely overbuilt for times when you need to make a small knife do things usually reserved for larger blades. You can check out River8's post here on them http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=636837 While tough it hasn't sacrificed too much of it's smaller knife features and remains a great general purpose blade. The wider pommel area provides a nice small hammering surface and is useful for pushing down on with your palm too when needed. Most of the SAR guys wear gloves and find it helps with retention too with thick gloves on. Now on to the specs: These are made from .200 thick 5160 with a differential heat treat, flat saber ground bevels, stainless steel tube fasteners, black G10 scales, and the aproximate measurements are 8 7/8 overall with a 4 1/8in blade. Price is $250 each and that includes a Kydex sheath. I can accept USPS money orders or Paypal+4% for payment. I have numbered them for clarity. #1 is a non fingergrooved model and #2 and #3 are standard fingergrooved models. There has been a lot of interest in these so I am taking orders on them. The standard model will look like #2 and #3 and prices are $200 for a knife alone or $250 with a Kydex sheath. Orders will take up to 8 months to deliver. Please EMAIL(No PMs or posts here please) me if you wish to talk about an order :)
