4sevens Titanium Whistle. Initial Review.

I got mine last week. I like 'em, but I wish they were a little more split ring friendly. As in on a keyring, they tend to hand funny, maybe if the hole was bigger. Not that that's a big deal, but if it's on a ring with a key, it tends to hang off at a 45 degree or better angle. However, I put one on the tiny splitring on the Victorinox Explorer, & it makes the perfect accessory for it! For a $20 titanium whistle, I'd say it's definitely worth the money.

On mine, I ran a small split ring through both holes on the end of the whistle. To this split ring, I attached another small split ring. The second ring is what I attach to the keyring (a small carabiner.) I've been using two small split rings on each key and on each tool/gadget. Doing so allows the item to twist and turn enough that it can hang naturally.

If you go to the hardware store, in the screw department they have an assortment of PVC thread protectors. These are used to cover the projecting ends of screw threads on say swing sets. If you get the right size, you can cover the end of the whistle to prevent denting and keep out belly button lint.

I recieved my whistle yesterday. I put mine on a smaller split ring and attached it to my keychain, weighs close to nothing. And yeah, it's loud.

I used the brush wheel on the grinder to remove the logo, much better now.

I've got one of these. Right now it's attached to my bugout bag. Pretty loud for such a little thing.

I got mine yesterday. Painfully loud, annoyingly high-pitched. Weighs next to nothing, and I don't notice it until I need it (more like "want to play with it" at this point.) For twenty bucks, I'm happy:)

I'm still waiting for one of you to try the 120db version, though. I bet that sucker'll near make your ears bleed. . .
