CPM 4V cryo treated, triple tempered to ~60RC
0.108" thick
7.25" OAL
3.5" blade
handle is 0.5" thick
weight 2.7 oz without sheath, 5.35 oz with
G10, titanium
This is USED knife. It was my EDC for the last 6 months. I bead blasted and polished the blade to restore like new condition. Sheath showing little wear on eyelets, otherwise no difference to my new knives.
I'm "test driving" another steel now, z-wear, and have no need for 2 EDCs.
As for the target steel, 4V, I can say it is a very decent steel for EDC if you like to keep you knives sharp and don't mind frequent cleaning. In my opinion, it gets patina too fast, faster than D2, and holds edge on par with D2 or better. It doesn't like acid fruits like apples, getting colored just in minutes if you forget to clean. Otherwise it makes a very good cutter and slicer. I profiled the blade with a little convex for better slicing. The handle somebody might find too slim (0.5" thick), but this is how I like my edcs - the lighter the better. Don't pry or heavy batton with it - too thin for that kind of tasks.
Again, this is user - so the price is [SOLD to KQL] shipped by USPS Priority Mail.
