Got going early, at 9 am it was already 85, at noon it was 105. Hiking along the stream was nice, but climbing out was extremely hot.

great pics T... it's been waaaaaaay hot here lately.. and the real heat hasn't even begun...:(

nice blade selection there...

Nice pics as usual, amigo. I hear you on the Farmer addiction! I've already got a couple that I EDC and use very frequently in the woods, but I still look for deals on more! It's the perfect pocket knife.

Thanks guys. This was in Thousand Oaks, where luckily there was a little bit of a breeze. I carried about 100 oz total water for my wife and I. Next time she waill have to bring her Camelbak though, and we'll have to leave even earlier.

i really got bit by the Farmer bug. It is about the perfect knife form edc to heading out on a hike. I have three of them now and #4 on the way!

Cool pics. I'm still bummed I missed that Laconico in the makers for sale thread. Looks like it's getting some good use though.

Hey tknife,

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I don't know how you can hike in that temperature. It was 73 here last week and I was sweating bullets. At 100, to find me you would have to listen for the roar of a fuel injected air conditioner and the popping of many cold beer caps. :(

I also am a big Vic fan. Those saws rock, don't they?

Nice pics tknife. I have an alox soldier and wish it were a farmer. Those farmers seem almost impossible to comeby via retail which is how I usually buy my saks.

Looks like that stream has a heavy blue-green algal bloom happening. One has to be careful when the water is overly green like that since cyanobacteria such as microcystis can produce hepatoxins.

I ordered mine online, I haven't seen the Farmer in retail stores either. Actually, I rarely see any of the alox models in stores.

I won't be attempting another hike in the heat of the day, that was pretty brutal!
