I've been wanting to do a nice drop point hunter for a while, so I snuck this guy in on my first batch for the new year. I was saving this block of buckeye for a special blade. It's really a unique piece. The first thing I thought when I saw it was of the brindle coloration you see on some animals. It's got oranges, blacks, browns, etc.

The gunstock style handle is very comfortable and practical, and the knife is nicely balanced and well mannered. I think this is one of the nicest handling knives I've done in fact. Edge is taken to a slightly toothy convex and stropped to shaving sharp.

CTS-XHP @61 w/cryo
Buckeye Burl stabilized by K&G
416SS Guard and Pin

5.25" from edge start to tip, 11.25" OAL, 7.5oz

I would like to get $225 shipped for this one, or $240 shipped with basic sheath. This one's a gem IMO, and I'm not going to be able to get another block of Buckeye like this. It was the only one they had. I'm switching back to commission work for a couple weeks, so this will be my last post for sale here for a bit.

Thanks for the comments!

I wanted to add, the stock thickness is .160" on this.

I'm getting good news so far from customers on this XHP. This one should be a workhorse as well as a looker.

I copied over some pictures of my leather work from another post, with the right sheath, this knife would look stunning on someone's hip. ;)

This is a molded backpocket sheath I did for a BF member.

These two are not stitched yet in this photo, but you get the idea. These are my "standard" horizontal/vertical design.

This is the one pictured on the right in the above photo, showing after stitching and smoothing out the stitch lines.
