5 Blade Showdown Vid

That was bad ass thanks for taking the time to shoot that and post it up. I'm new to Busse/kin knives but vids like this confirm my desire to find out more about them. I like how the edge on the FBMLE is 7 yrs old (if I remember correctly?) has sheet metal from a dodge on it and the edge is holding up. Thanks again and you're pretty damn lucky to have a wife like that ;) but you already know

Love it.

I have a KZII I convexed and polished the edge on. Made a big difference in the bite. I need to smooth the handles. I got the quilted, to try them out, and with longer chopping it is too much traction.

The B11 is where it is at. Lighter for carrying. Great speed, COMFY handle that absorbs more shock.

We need a RES C KZ!!!!!

We need a RES C KZ!!!!!

^THIS is what I have been saying for a while... an INFI Basilla or an SR101 KhukRat would probably make the best chopper one could ever ask for.

I really enjoyed the video Tim & TNT ... many thanks for this

I also agree with your conclusions. We had a post a few days back now as to which 2 Busse's you would keep if you could only have 2. Many went for a big /small combo. I went for my NTTKZ and my Basic 9. I equally could have said the Basic 11 but for me the Basic 9 can carry the way I want to carry and the Basic 11 is just slightly too long on the same angle. The point being though that the Basic 11 and Basic 9 can deliver real power to weight performance ... are comfortable to use ... and when they have ASM edges for hard field use and easy maintenance ... they make an excellent choice. Performance wise there is nothing "basic" about the Basics ...

As for the TTKZ's ... best handle design Jerry has ever produced  In years to come ... that handle will be "Genesis" for either what Jerry or others look to in a design for "the best" in ergonomic comfort for hard chopping knives... and "the Zilla" range of knives is hopefully just in it's "infancy" ...

I keep saying that the design ought to be used for "a mould" for a Res C grip  Evolution wise that would be fantastic ... but the knife needs "Infi" ... the benefits of Infi come to a "pinnnacle" in the khukri design. Infi enables the back end of the khukri to take a razor edge for fine work ... can have a robust edge on the chopping sweet spot and can become sharper towards the point for point use. Hardly any steel can be sharpened as easily as Infi in my experience to develop and retain this type of complex edge ... and then it has that unique ability to withstand huge amounts of "punishment" ... man ... I will be SO disappointed if my "ideal" knife ends up being made in another form of steel ...

For me a Nuclear TTKZ with a Res C TTKZ moulded grip AND an ASM edge would be my "ideal" Busse ...

So come on Jerry ! Make it happen ...:D
