As of Nov 12, 2002 at 10 PM New York time (EST), Gold is $324 per ounce.

A regular ole super-fancy folding knife weighs between 5-9 ounces.

So, that would put the price at $1600-$3000...

I've definitely seen some folding knives that were in that price range (and a few over for that matter).
 
The 18 inch Sirupati is mine, actually it's my wife's. It will be one of her Christmas presents. Normally she shows nothing but scorn for my edged toys, but ever since I brought home a 15 inch Sirupati she's been asking me to buy her one. She views them as works of art. So now I consider myself an art collector.

hehehe I have been an art collector for quite some years now:D Its amazing how being an art collector is so much more acceptable to weapon haters, than being a knife enthusiast.:mad:
