5 blems for 8/03 -- Pix and usual steals.

It looks kinda skinny and small next to an Ang Khola,a WW II, a BAS or a Ganga Ram, but it is a substantial enough blade for lots of tasks. :D
A certain moderator might take offense, but a .44 Magnum 8" is not the ideal choice in every situation  :D A 2" .38 Chief's Special might do the trick sometimes
One size never fit s all

I always wanted one with the extended tool kit...
The regular one without the extended tool kit and with plain handles is $350.00!!!
Does any one know what this one without the rust goes for???
If the rust is not TOO bad, this could be the deal of the year!!!
Only problem is, that it seems a BIT too big for every day carry...:D

James, if you just have to have a khuk right away, then you're going to pay website prices, which are still bargains really. I bought several off of the web site before I got hit over the head and starting watching the deals of the day here at the Cantina. (They are usually posted about 4 a.m., so sign on then! Late mornings are about the worst time. :D )

I still went back and got a couple off the web page that were not readily available as Deals of the Day (Yangdu's Best Buys or YBB's), and the Berk's Special / Dui Chirra was one of them. Think I paid a full $300 for mine, but that was in early 2004. Prices have dropped overall, and most Dui Chirras of this size have been going for about $150, which is one tremendous deal. In this case you are saving at least $15 plus get free shipping from Yangdu, for a lifetime blade that just needs a bit of rust removed. This is a great size and weight you got on yours as well, although, yes, for daily carry a smaller 16.5-18" blade, say a WWII or BGRS is a much handier size.

Mine is 22" and 36 oz. I am also fortunate to have matching Dui Chirra's, with the tools, in 18" (26 oz.) and 15" (17 oz.)

Welcome! Hope you hang around, and please let us know how you like your first HI knife. That is a top of the line knife to start with for sure.

Regards,

Norm

If I were giving to coveting, I would be coveting the 16.5 Bura WWII. After the Bura 15inAK, this was the most attractive khuk to my life and needs.

Thankfully, I am not giving to coveting.

No. Really.

ok, maybe

Is it a good choice???
I cannot find any info on the dui chirra on their website...
Woops... This is the one I have been planning on getting anyway! Just forgot the name... Keep forgetting to check the 'New Products' page...
Friend, if you don't like it, I'll cheerfully buy it from you for the price you paid, and drive down to Beaumont to save you the trouble of shipping it ;)
